True Friendship

What is true friendship? God laid this verse on my heart earlier in the summer and I wanted to share it.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

- Romans 12: 9-12

Friendships are valuable and should have strong foundations. This verse sets a great standard of what a real and true friendship should look like.

I also wanted to share this blog I read sometimes. Another young lady commited to following Christ. Her blog is Alabaster Box.

That's a great verse. It really captures all that we are supposed to be as Christians. We are called to love one another and be servants, putting others ahead of ourselves. Let us never lose sight of who we are called to be by Christ.
